** Update: Grandpa has found his fur-ever home. **

Aged to Pawfection will spotlight some of our favorite senior dogs here at Kate’s Rescue.

Today, we are placing the spotlight on Grandpa, a 7 1/2-year-old Lab mix with lots of love to give! As with most grandpas, he is great with kids and would love to be a part of your family.

Senior pets have so much love to give and are worth considering when looking to adopt a new family member. Seniors make great companions and add the perfect touch to your home with their calm and laidback personalities.

Grandpa has all the great qualities of a senior dog and more. He is house trained, neutered, and friendly with new people. He’s only moderately active and prefers to spend his time relaxing with you.

If you’re looking for a new best friend, come and meet Grandpa.

Adoption applications can be found on our website and remember, dogs never outgrow the love they have to give no matter what age they are!

We don’t know how he is with cats. He hasn’t been around them in his foster home.

Grandpa is only 7 1/2 yrs old! At first from your description I thought he must be 10-11. I’ve seen this before on rescues where they make a dog sound much older. He is just starting to head toward being a senior, he is NOT an old man. You will turn people off from him. I adopted a 7 yr old german shorthair and she didn’t turn senior like till 11 ish. Please rethink how you post the older dogs and it does depend on their energy level I know….thanks.

Thank you for your comment. Grandpa is a large breed and he’s a mellow senior guy.
